MENS HOCKEY AT WTHC

Hockey is a fun, and exciting sport for everyone.

Wisbech Town HC has five Mens teams, catering for all abilities and experiences. The Mens 1st XI currently plays in East Area Men’s Division 1 North, with the 2nd XI promoted to Division 2 North West last season. The 3rd team compete in Division 5 North West, with the 4th XI in Division 6 North West.

For 2024/25, WTHC has added a Mens 5th team! The team will also play in Division 6 North West and has been entered on a development basis, allowing players to take part from the age of 12 (instead of the normal 13-years-old), with an emphasis on helping young players transition into Senior hockey, from Junior, whilst also providing valuable playing opportunities for our newer players, or Back to Hockey participants.

NEW PLAYERS

WTHC welcomes new members of any ability - whether you have played before, or are totally new to the game. For beginners, there are club sticks available to borrow initially (until players purchase their own); but WTHC strongly recommends all players wear a gum shield and shin pads (as well as bringing a drink) for all training sessions.

For 2022/23, WTHC is extending its introductory scheme, with the first three sessions FREE for new players; after this, players will be invited to become a WTHC Member.

Please Note: when signing up a new Under 18 player, we require a parent or guardian to sign up on the Teamo app as well - to ensure Safeguarding measures are maintained.
